This Refund Policy explains our policy regarding refunds for Afritrace ALPR Premium subscriptions purchased through Google Play. We strive to provide a fair and transparent refund process for our users.

2. Google Play Refund Policy

All Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's refund policies. Generally:

  • 48-Hour Window: Google Play allows refunds within 48 hours of purchase for most subscriptions
  • Automatic Process: Refunds within this window can be requested directly through Google Play
  • Google's Discretion: Refund decisions are ultimately at Google's discretion

3. How to Request a Refund

3.1 Within 48 Hours of Purchase

If you purchased your subscription within the last 48 hours:

  1. Go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
  2. Find your Afritrace ALPR subscription
  3. Click "Cancel subscription" and follow the prompts
  4. Select "Request a refund" if available

3.2 After 48 Hours

For refund requests after 48 hours, please contact us directly:

  • Email: support@afritrace.com
  • Include your Google Play order number
  • Explain the reason for your refund request
  • We will review your request within 2-3 business days

4. Refund Eligibility

We may grant refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Technical Issues: If the app has critical bugs that prevent core functionality and we cannot resolve them within a reasonable timeframe
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times
  • Feature Misrepresentation: If advertised Premium features are not available or do not work as described
  • Accidental Purchase: If you can demonstrate the purchase was made accidentally and you haven't used the Premium features

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally NOT be granted in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after using Premium features extensively
  • Failure to cancel before automatic renewal
  • Dissatisfaction with recognition accuracy (as this depends on many factors including image quality, lighting, etc.)
  • Incompatibility with your specific server setup (when reasonable documentation is provided)
  • Violation of our Terms and Conditions
  • Requests made after significant use of Premium features

6. Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of subscription periods. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period.

7. Refund Processing Time

If your refund request is approved:

  • Google Play Refunds: Typically processed within 3-5 business days
  • Bank/Card Processing: May take an additional 5-10 business days depending on your financial institution
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the refund is processed

8. Cancellation vs. Refund

It's important to understand the difference:

  • Cancellation: Stops future billing but does not refund current period
  • Refund: Returns payment for current or recent billing period

You can cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play, which will prevent future charges but won't automatically trigger a refund.

9. Free Trial

If we offer a free trial period:

  • You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged
  • No refund is needed for trial cancellations since no payment was made

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account
  • Termination of access to Premium features
  • Potential ban from future use of our services
